Sustanon blends four different testosterone esters. Esters are attached to steroids for the main purpose of making it more lipophillic. Thus, the steroid stays in the adipose tissue longer when injected and is mixed slowly in the bloodstream ultimately. Longer esters are more lipophillic than shorter esters. This formulation, in its most common form - sustanon 250 - holds one long ester, one short ester and two medium length esters. This combination enables a quick release of the steroid. Moreover it features long-term functioning.

This therapy offers both anabolic and androgenic value. The fastest acting ester of the blend - testosterone propionate – starts working in the first day. The other esters take several weeks to follow where they attain top with the actions of all four esters which remain for the rest of the process.

Sustanon increases strength and fat free mass quickly. So athlete often takes it. It does aromatize, but slightly less than some other single ester testosterones which causes less water retention than other steroids.

How does it work?

Sustanon injection includes testosterone esters. These are imitative of the spontaneously occurring male hormone testosterone in men. When injected they are transformed into testosterone in the body.

Testosterone is known as an androgen. The testicles are the cause for its formation. It is a hormone that plays an important role in normal growth and development of the male sex organs and male sexual characteristics.

There is another set of hormones called gonadotrophins that regulates the natural production of testosterone. This hormone is released from the pituitary gland in the brain.

When you are young testosterone causes the production of sperm, the maintenance of sex drive, erectile potency, and the operation of the prostate gland and other reproductive structures. It also works for the development of the muscles, skeleton, skin, kidney, liver, bone marrow and central nervous system.

Low levels of testosterone are associated with many physical and mental deficiency including decreased sex drive, impotence, infertility owing to decreased sperm production, decreased mental and physical activity, fatigue and weakening of bones.

Testosterone is recommended as replacement therapy when natural testosterone levels drop down. It can result in the above suggested symptoms. Natural testosterone levels reduce with age and following surgical removal of the testicles (castration). Another factor may also gives rise to the reduction of testosterone such as decreased functioning of the testicles (hypogonadism or eunuchoidism) caused by testicular disease, or by decreased gonadotrophin production by the pituitary gland, as a result of pituitary disease.

By testosterone replacement therapy, the natural testosterone levels will return to normal, thus relieving the symptoms of the deficiency.

Sustanon injection is called a depot injection. It is injected gradually into the muscle where it forms a reservoir of medicine. The testosterone is gradually released all the time from the reservoir into the bloodstream. The injection is as a rule given once every two to three weeks. But the dosage and the interval time will vary according to your individual testosterone levels.
