Basic Concept of Sustanon

Sustanon is available in a general form of Sustanon 250. It is also offered in lower dose. This is an oil-based injectable containing four different testosterone elements: testosterone propionate, 30 mg; testosterone phenylpropionate, 60 mg; testosterone isocaproate, 60mg; and testosterone decanoate, 100 mg. The mixtures of the testosterones are time-released to provide an instant effect while still remaining active in the body for up to a month. As with other testosterones, this formulation has an androgenic and anabolic effect. Hence, athletes commonly use it to put on mass and size while increasing strength.

Indication

Sustanon is used for the replacement therapy in men with low testosterone levels. It is also exploited in Male menopause symptoms such as decreased sex drive. This is also useful in prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in men with low testosterone levels.

Drug Interaction

Testosterone may increase the anti-blood-clotting effects of anticoagulants such as warfarin, nicoumalone and phenindione. If you are taking any of these your blood clotting time (INR) may need to be monitored more frequently; in particular it should be measured after you start or stop testosterone treatment.

If testosterone is used in combination with corticosteroids such as dexamethasone, it may cause fluid retention and oedema since both medicines can result in fluid retention. This combination of medicines needs to be used with caution in people with heart, liver or kidney disease.

If you have diabetes, your dose of insulin or antidiabetic tablets should be reduced after you start treatment with this medicine.
